What We Do
Our Mission
Our local communities have many Veteran Service Organizations that help our Veterans with Education, Housing, Therapy, and Finances. The mission of Save-A-Joe, Inc. is to partner with our local small businesses, Corporate Sponsors and our community members to raise money to assist these Veteran Service Organizations. We raise funds by hosting events with you, our amazing supporters. And you can rest assured that 100% of all funds that you raise will be donated to help fight Veteran Homelessness, to provide assistance to our Disabled Veterans, and to assist our Veterans living in VA Homes in our local communities.

Bowling for Veterans
"Bowling for Veterans" was first hosted in 2013 as a fun fundraiser with some local friends and businesses to raise money for Veterans in need of help. Back then we chose the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton, IL as our beneficiary and the funds raised at this event have continued to support this great local non-profit ever since.

Save-A-Joe Pub Crawl
Every year we host a Pub Crawl as one of our Annual Events to give our supporters and advocates a super fun way to help us raise money. What a great way to have fun and do good.

Fiesta Days Car Show
Join us at the McHenry County Fiesta Days in July of each year to check out all of the amazing cars of all types. Antiques, Custom, Rat Rods and more. Bring your car and join us too!

Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans
Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans has been our longest standing beneficiary. We started working with them in 2013 and still do today.
K9s for Veterans
SAJ just started working with K9s for Veterans in 2023 when we sponsored our first dog for a Veteran.
